THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK :  a Rhema Word from The Fisherman                 Tues, April 21, 2009

 

 

 

Today we’re going to start a 2 Part series entitled, “Your CROSS of Choice”.  My earnest prayer is that All who read it, Will be Motivated to pick up their Cross & carry it like they should; for the duration of their assignment of Obedience!  It is Truly a most necessary undertaking to carry ones cross!  Jesus said in Mark 8: 33b – 34 in the Amplified version of the Bible: “For you do not have a mind (soul) intent on promoting what God Wills, but what pleases men [you Are NOT on God’s side, but that of men]!  And Jesus called [to Him] the throng with His disciples and said to them.  IF anyone intends to come after Me, let him DENY himself [Forget, ignore, DISown, and loose sight of himself & his own interests], and Take up his CROSS, and [joining Me as a disciple (a discipled one or a copy cat student) and siding with My party].  Follow with Me [continually, cleaving steadfastly to Me]”. 

Now Jesus just said a mouthful!

 

Three things stand out in this portion of scripture to me, besides the “Take up your (individual) CROSS” (daily).  They are: “you don’t have a mind (soul) intent on promoting God’s Will, but that of men.  Secondly, “…. siding with My party”, and finally, “let him DENY himself”!

 

The Cross of Christ symbolizes an instrument of death!  It was the means of inflicting both a cruel & a punishing final example, of what would happen to one, who violated Roman Law.  It was specifically designed as the Capital Punishment of the day.  Jesus Christ used this to teach His disciples or followers, How to keep their flesh or their carnal natures (Thoughts: minds / souls) in check or under control!  He simply said, “Take up YOUR Cross” (daily)!  Or in other words, He was telling them to die daily and How to do so.   But as I was talking to a fellow minister brother of mine, I began to prophesy to him!  I told him that what many of us believe our crosses to be, in all actuality, Are NOT; what our crosses Are!   Selah.  If you have for example, a very unruly, “unsubmissive” and unloving wife, we automatically Assume that she is the cross that we Have to bear!  Did you check and see from God, if being married to her, was indeed the cross you must bear?  You may have just been DISobedient and married the Wrong woman, and now you have to deal with the consequences of your decision and subsequent DISobedience!   But God, has a cross specifically designed to work on you!  Or could it have been the Fact that you are Not suppose to be a teacher, which is a safe vocation, or a deacon; but that you are really suppose to be a pastor or an apostle, that has the oversight of 4 churches?  Could the shear responsibility and daily care of the churches be your own individual Cross, that you refuse to carry?  Could you be using your wife as an excuse for a cross because it’s safe & Familiar to be married to her; so you won’t have to do anything about your wife, and / or her attitude?   Selah.   Are some of you pastors quietly on the verge of quitting the pastoral ministry, because your burden is too hard?  Take up your cross!

 

Could it be that autistic or mentally - challenged child that you have, that you won’t spend much time with at all?  Is this your cross?  Or have YOU chosen that it is the weight of the ministry, because if the truth be told, you are simply embarrassed of your child; or are you secretly mad at God, for Him having allowed the enemy to attack him or her in the womb?  Selah.  Have you chosen your cross to be that homosexual child of yours, or deep in your heart, do you KNOW beyond a shadow of a doubt, that God Has Called you for years to be a missionary in some foreign & obscure land; and that just messes up your plans for notoriety and popularity with a big church in the states?  We’re talking about your cross of Choice right Now!   Selah.   Everyone of us has our Own individual crosses to bear.  It’s a good thing to suffer and to be humiliated for The Lord’s Glory!!  Your cross is designed to make you humble!  It’s designed to make you hurt!  And hurt, it does!  It’s supposed to!

 

I would be remised if I didn’t talk a little bit about the other things that stood out in Truth, in the scripture (Mark 8: 33b – 34) that we just read.  But I would be hapless not to mention the Fact that IF we don’t pick up the cross that God has for us to pick up; then we don’t get any credit or glory for it!  It doesn’t satisfy the requirements of the day!  It won’t make us humble, submissive, nonjudgmental, kind, weak or merciful; so that through our weaknesses, His strength could be manifest as being Perfect, mature, Strong & mighty!  If we don’t pick up the cross that He has planned for us, all we will do, is simply FRUSTRATE His grace for us!   If we don’t pick up His cross for us, we Won’t, and Can’t Die!!  And isn’t that the entire purpose of the cross of Christ, to eventually get us to die? 

 

We’ll pick up where we left off next week, and we’ll talk a little more about dying and about those other things I mentioned earlier, that I want to share with you.   Until next week, keep the Faith, Love one another for real and please stay established, in the Present Truth!

How are you doing CHRIST-Persons?  FINE I hope!  May Grace & Peace be multiplied unto you this day and forever more; as you grow in the knowledge of Him!

Listen to me; and Hear what The Spirit would say unto you Today.  The Word of God says: “the day you hear My Voice, harden Not your hearts”.  I pray that I find your heart & ears Today, moist & full of mercy, grace & Comforting Passion!  I Want All of you to PRAY for All backslidden, DISillusioned, terrified, hurt, wounded, “Compromising”, Weak, depressed, “abominized” & erring PREACHERS!!!!!  From the time you Read this, PRAY for 3 days!  Just 1 of them, PLEASE Fast also, for GOD to restore our brothers & sisters to a spiritual tone of mind & heart.

 

I Believe that we’re in a “short season”, where God has GRACE extended for the Restoration of fallen, backslidden or erring preachers!  IF, you are 1 of them, Man or Woman of GOD, Come Back Prodigal; but this time, Stay HOME!!!  Run back to the arms of a Loving Father; & Don’t LET what people say or think, STOP yoU from Coming HOME!  It’s Time to make your comeback!  LET God, bathe you in His Precious Blood, and LET Him wash you with the washing of the water of The Word.  LET  Him cleanse yoU from ALL your Unrighteousness!  LET  Him Take Away All of your Shame & PAIN!  GOD Is NOT mad at yoU; But He desires to Restore yoU and to Still use you!  But yoU NEED Help forgiving yourself, don’t yoU?!!?  LET Go  &  LET  GOD!  LET God RESCUE yoU, like Only HE CAN & Will!  LET  GOD Restore your LIFE & ministry!  LET  Him give back to yoU, All the years that the cankerworm, caterpillar, palmerworm & the locusts Have Stolen from yoU!!

 

I want to leave you with a scripture.  James 5: 16 [Amp] says: “Confess to one another your faults (your slips, false steps & your offenses, you sins) & PRAY [also] for one another, that you may be Healed & Restored [to a spiritual tone of mind & heart].  The earnest & (heartfelt CONTINUED) Prayer of a righteous man, makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]”. Hallelujah!

 

GOD IS Moving in the earth realm!  PRAY for ALL the 5-fold (or Ascension gifts) Ministry in the Body of CHRIST!  PRAY for your pastor!  PRAY for the evangelists & the teachers and the Prophets & Apostles!  PRAY!  God asked the Prophet Ezekial, “Can these dry bones Live”?  Of course they Can; & they Will,  IF  the SAINTS of GOD would intercede, Pray, Fast & SPEAK THE WORD over them, & to them!!  Rise up preachers & Be a Mighty, Mighty army for The LORD!!!  Whatever the enemy of your souls Has meant for your harm; God HAS turned it for your Good; IF you  LET  Him!  Shalom

Greetings In The Precious Name of The LORD Jesus CHRIST,

 

         I want to talk to you about, “Sleeping Thru The Revolution”!  I have a son who is a heavy sleeper; a very heavy sleeper!  His real name is Holsey IV.  My sister nicknamed him  ”Quad” when he was a baby.  As an adolescent, I gave him a new name, and it was “Horse”.  Now I call him “Niccodemus” or “Nik”  for short.  I can stand in his room and yell out all 4 of his names at the top of my lungs, for about 5 minutes and he will literally sleep through it!  I’ve said to him numerous times throughout the years, “Son, if a bomb blew up in this room, you would sleep right through it”!  Unfortunately, that’s how many of us Are, in the Body of CHRIST !  God could call us by our name, by our “nicknames” or He could call us, BELOVED, Apostle, Prophet, Priest, King, Evangelist, Pastor or Teacher, & we wouldn’t even respond!  GOD has been calling & yelling at some of us for years!  And we give Him, NO Response. We keep on sleeping!

 

         If that weren’t bad enough, we can hear, the Call of the World so very easily!  This has always been very interesting to me!  If that weren’t bad enough, we Can’t even “read” the signs of the times, and know what Time it really is!  Selah.  Why are we so dull of hearing?  Why are we so blind?   Romans 13: 11 – 12 says: “And that, knowing the time, that Now it is high time to Awake out of sleep: for NOW is our deliverance nearer than when we (first) believed.  The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, & let us put on the armor of Light”.  Here we are Again, talking about the Light.

 

         Let’s define revolution.  Revolution is defined as: a Complete or drastic change of any kind.  It also means, to overthrow a government or a social system.  Finally it means: a Complete cycle of events.  Don’t you realize that we’re in the middle of a cycle of events?  Don’t you realize that Jesus CHRIST is in the process of overthrowing the social systems of this World Order?  Don’t you Know that He is in the slow, but definite process of overthrowing the government.  Isaiah 9: 6 says that: “the government Shall be upon His shoulder”. There is an ongoing war between Light & darkness; between good and evil! The Original Living bible says it this way: “that we wrestle not against flesh and blood; but against people without bodies”.  Although Jesus Has All Power and He doesn’t really need any of us, whenever there is a revolution, there is a definite leader; but there are also thousands, if not millions of participants.  Will you be a Willing participant, or a revolutionary, in this Godly revolution?  Or will you sleep thru the revolution?

 

         This revolution will not be televised!  But it is a silent revolution where Light overwhelms and conquers darkness! Although silent, don’t you underestimate for a minute, the violent nature of this revolution! Remember, the violent TAKE it by force!  It is a revolution where righteousness (GOD’s way of doing things) displaces unrighteousness (which is the devils and the world’s way of doing things).  It is a revolution where one set of ideologies completely squashes another set of ideologies.  It is a revolution where Good completely triumphs over evil, It is a revolution where GOD the Father, The LORD Jesus Christ & Parakletos,The Holy Ghost, completely overwhelms satan and all of his cohorts.  It is a revolution where the hearts of men Will be turned to GOD!  It is a revolution where We Christ-Persons are called to do justice to the downtrodden & needy.  It is a revolution where men of Good Will Can & Will cast off selfishness & self-centeredness, to be a part of saving the world, by doing Good works, & therefore glorifying GOD in heaven! This revolution is about Advancing the Kingdom of Heaven, on this earth! This should be the most Exciting time in your life!  A time of Great anticipation and readiness (preparation), so we can usher in the return of The LORD Jesus CHRIST of Nazareth!   So how can you sleep thru this revolution?!?

 

         It is no time to sleep, but to watch & to be sober. (1Thessalonians 5: 6 – 8).  1 Thessalonians 5: 1 - 2 says it this way: “But of the times & the seasons, brethren, ye have No need that I write unto you. (In other words, you already Know what time it is!  Nobody should have to tell you)!  For yourselves Know perfectly,  in that, the day of The LORD so cometh as a thief in the night”.  Remember the 5 foolish virgins who when the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered & slept.  At midnight when He came, they didn’t have enough oil, so they went to buy some. (Do you have enough Oil?) By the time they came back, the door had been shut & when they cried out, the bridegroom said through the door, “I know you not”! The bridegroom was about to partake in a Complete & drastic CHANGE in His, and in the brides (The Church’s) Life.  You can’t sleep through this revolution!  How could you?

 

         Remember Noah, he was such an integral part of the overthrow of a World government & the then, social order of the day.  For hundreds of years while he built the ark, he warned the people of the impending Change and danger to come!  But they “slept”, and kept on drinking & partying and were given in marriage & they had a good ole time.  But when the rain of the revolution starting falling, they were either asleep or to Consumed (or “drunk”) with their own devices, until it was too late to get on the ark and they all died.  Their death signified, a Complete cycle of events, and a New government being established!  What kind of “sleeping pill” are you on?  What are you “drunk” off of?  Is it simply your relative ease or laisez-fair approach to life?  Are you just simply maintaining, or going thru the motions?  Are you drunk on the pain of your past.  Is it your man or woman or children or job or social standing?  Or, are you drunk off of “Religion”.  Is your church life just a social gathering or is it Radical & engaging Christianity?  Whatever the case, there can’t be any sleeping or “drunkenness” during the revolution, because the revolution will not be televised; the revolution Will be LIVE!
